Certificate of ICT Product Quality -
Sri Lanka
This certificate is aimed to certify and provide a rating for the ICT products developed in Sri Lanka. The evaluation will be done by a panel of chartered IT professionals who would have highest levels of experiences in the field of ICT. Each Product requesting this certification will be awarded a Certificate of rating based on the fulfilment of the evaluation criteria.
Eligibility to apply for Certification
The requester must own the IP rights for the ICT product,
OR
Owner of the IP rights should have given the written consent to the requester authorizing to
apply for the certification.
Method of Application Submission
Option 1
Direct Submission – via web portal
Option 2
National ICT Awards (NBQSA) Applicant – Successful applicants (i.e., Participated and evaluation completed) can request this service as an additional service.
Application submission process
1. Submit all the details to the web portal
2. Upload all the mandatory documentation requests in the web portal
3. Upload all the reference artifacts (i.e. documents, videos, images etc.) to the web portal
4. Make the relevant processing fee
5. Complete the application submission
Upon successful submission of the application a tentative timeline will be provided for the evaluation process

Entrants
LKR 50,000
Will be charged for the first evaluation. A coupon to be used as fee for submitting an application to National ICT Awards (NBQSA) valid for 2 years from the issue date
National ICT Awards (NBQSA) Participants
LKR 25,000
Must be participated in National ICT Awards within 1 year prior to the application submission
Renewal of the
Certification
LKR 20,000
Need to be submitted along with the relevant documentation

Evaluation Process
Panel of evaluators would be;
– reviewing the documents and artifacts submitted in the application
– call for any other documents or artifacts they would require
– call for product demonstrations
– during the evaluation period

Validity of the Rating Certification
Certificate Validity Period is One (1) year from the date issued.
Revalidation and renewal of the validity could be obtained by directly applying annually up to 3 years from the initial certificate issue date subject to NO changes are made to the respective product.
In case of any change is done to the certified product, the owner MUST get the certification revalidated. Else the Rating & certification is deemed NULL and VOID from the date the modification is carried out.
Ratings Structure

Rating Certification Administration
Any person would be able to verify the validity of the certification and the rating by logging into the CEQSL web portal.
Awarding Standard and the Ratings Structure will not be change or modified.
Governing Body has the sole desertion to periodically review the standards and revise the process if needed to be in sync with the industry requirements.
